Registration Information for 2005
What You Need To Know About Camp Sussex:
Camp Sussex is a coed sleep-away camp for children ages 7 - 14. It is located in Northwestern part of New Jersey (about 65 miles from midtown Manhattan).
Educational Enrichment Program: All campers will participate in a Reading & Math Enrichment program each day. By integrating a 90 minute nontraditional academic program with a traditional camp program, we hope to reinforce what was learned in school, and prepare the children for the upcoming school year. This is not like regular school.
Camper Expectations: The campers must learn to live cooperatively in a community environment and work to make the most of their time at camp. The camp is their home for 2 ½ weeks and must be treated with care. Campers are expected to make new friends, participate in all activities, share in the cleaning up of their cabins daily, respect the property of others and help with basic tasks in the dining room such as passing food and stacking dishes.
Session I: Wednesday, June 29, 2005 - Friday, July 15, 2005
Session II has been reserved by a private foundation (Turn 2) and only its selected participants will be permitted to register for the second session.
Session III: Wednesday, August 3, 2005 - Friday, August 19, 2005
We want to make you aware that fees will rise this year. Due to the overall increases in food, fuel, staff salaries and insurance, we have no choice but to increase our fees. As most of you know, the fees the camp charges families are but a fraction of what it costs to send a child to camp. Most of our costs are borne by the foundations and contributors that support us.
Registration fee is $75
Minimum tuition fee is $425.
