Max Grill Dies at 105 -
Max Grill, an Honorary Life President of Camp Sussex and former Treasurer, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2005 following complications from an aneurysm.

Max, as he was known to all, was an accountant by trade and was well known throughout the philanthropic community. He was usually blunt, sometimes salty in tone, but a man of unquestioned integrity and honesty.

A funeral service was held Sunday, December 4 at Riverside Memorial Chapel in Manhattan that featured Dr. Norman Lamm of Yeshiva University. Dr. Lamm spoke of his close relationship with Max for over 45 years and praised him for his charitable work in endowing a chair for Jewish Studies at his school and for his generosity with many other charities including Camp Sussex.

Max married Marion Narcy of New York in 1935. Marion and Max became involved in Camp Sussex through a mutual friend and both were dedicated to the Sussex organization until Marion's death in 1987. They had no children, but Max is survived by a multitude of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
